I have the same problem, before I played with mods such as UI Cheats and MCCC. Deleted all of my mods, uninstalled and repaired the game via EA App and it still didn't show up. Tried downloading the Sims 4 via Steam with no mods or CC and it still didn't show up in my calendar. The allow invites in the gameplay settings are also on.
