I am also experiencing this problem. I'm not sure how long it's been going on in my game as its been a little while since I focused on a teen sim. Prom does not show up in my events and I do not get the prompt to attend prom. I can not ask anyone to prom. I did get an invite once to the preparty for prom but there was no prom to follow. I do not use mods or CC.
