So I wanted to update. I reported earlier that I returned to an old pre-HSY save and prom returned. I kept playing and it was just the one time. It did not re-appear on the calendar. For the next week, the invite to pre-prom came, I said yes. A few teens showed up at my apartment briefly but immediately left which is new and then prom didn't happen at all.
FYI I read some other comments and I do not have Enchanted by Nature.
