Actually, I have been searching the route of the problem for month. After testing, I have come to the conclusion that it is a resource priority conflict. The main symptom: after launching the game, you see 'Welcome to High School Pack' pop-up twice. Delta Pack has higher priority (-20) than Base Game and it's overriding the Prom schedule.
Solution: something like Save-Injection method.
1. Close the game. Move the EP12 folder out of The Sims 4/Delta to your Desktop.
2. Launch the game. Check your calendar—the Prom should be back!
3. Save your game (this is crucial, it bakes the event into your save file).
4. Exit and move the EP12 folder back to Delta so your animations/assets work.

Maybe you see a pop up but I do not. I also have zero idea what you mean by delta pack. Maybe the powers of be will understand and it will help them though. Nice of you to try and help but I will wait for official instructions or a fix.
This is a good idea but wouldn't the corruption (no prom) reappear when the conflict returns? I think this is more like an injection fix. Someone has to fix the priority first. Sims team will have to do that I fear
