This has been commented earlier in this thread but if anyone is looking for a potential quick solution to this without having to wait for an update try this mod:

I just added it to my game today & all my prom options have come back - still no career day but that isn't a high priority for me!
By the way, you're welcome. But I already have Career Day in the game and it's showing up for me. I backed up the mods folder and deleted the entire The Sims 4 folder, then I put the mods back and now Career Day is working for me, except for the tasks that aren't showing up there.
if the tasks are not showing that means your career day is broken
