You are not alone. This is the thread for reporting prom not appearing on the calendar at all: And they're validating a fix. How long that will take is unknown, but progress is progress, I guess.

I'm with you...at least progress is progress. Was hoping to do a true Super Sim with no cheats (she's about to age up to teen) that means I needed/wanted to go to prom. (I noticed prom wasn't a thing in a different save file I have.)
But ,I don't even see this bug fix (from their own update up) on the roadmap 🙃 so there goes that.
