Don't worry, there will be an update on March 17, and with it a fix for the prom :) Then they just need to fix the career day thing where the tasks aren't showing up. The fix took a long time, but you also have to understand how difficult it must be for them to fix bugs in the game, etc. New bugs keep popping up all the time. They can't keep up with fixing everything, so let's be glad that the fix is coming soon.
I don't really have any sympathy for them considering how they treat us as players. It is more than acceptable to call out how long this took when it was still for sale during this time so people were buying a broken product. Features we pay for don't even work. It's not just a "bug" at that point, the entire pack is broken and should be prioritised. A bug is my Sim floating on the ceiling, not an entire feature missing.
Yeah, you're probably right. For me, the most important thing is that the fix is coming. I can't wait to have my prom there again. Hopefully they'll fix the career day bug too. Because when you go to the lecture hall and you don't have your assignments there, it sucks because your Sim can't finish the school day. And I feel like this problem has been going on for a long time and there's been no fix.
