Imaginary Friends Issue

SimSeeker​ The only way to know it isn't mods is to rename the Mods folder, delete localthumbcache, and try again. Mods can have effects that have no apparent relation to their purpose. 

I started having the exact same error. I am also a rotational player and after adding an imaginary friend to an household and leave it, i started having this last exception:

I tried deleting the imaginary friend, removed the household from the lot and added it again. The error continues. I have mods but tried with no mods in a new and an old save. If i add an imaginary friend the error starts.

i am having the same problem after adding an imaginary friend to an household. even after deleting the doll the error persists. i tried with no mods and it is not mod related.

simsaribear​ Please test in a new save with an empty Mods folder before reporting to Bug Reports.

I realize that this post is old, but I was actually looking to finally report the `Failed to load Household Inventory for household 1` bug. It does happen in a completely vanilla save if you have any imaginary friend in that save. If the imaginary friend has aged up, then the error stops. But if you have even just one imaginary friend in the entire save then you will get this error when you enter build mode from manage worlds and then exit back to manage worlds. 

Is it worth my making a fresh post here for? Or is there another post that already exists that it would be better for me to reply on?

catamorphmagus​ This post is only here to rule out mods. Test with no mods/CC. If you still have the problem, go to bug reports, please.

I don't think it's mod related. I get this when I exit build buy to go to the map. It's very annoying, but removing mods and doing a 50/50 found nothing. I don't even use imaginary friends! I think there were 2 or 3 in my save, which I used for a total of 10 minutes as they seemed buggy. 

I just want to know if anyone has solved this. I'm going to check AGAIN if it happens without mods. I thought it did last time but may have rushed the process. 

Stetchnik​ If it's happening when you remove the entire Mods folder, delete localthumbcache, AND try a new save, please go to Bug Reports. If it's happening in that setup but only on a previous save not a new one, please go to Gameplay Issues. 

I FINALLY figured it out last night. It absolutely was NOT mods related (at least not in a way I could detect). I have no idea why it suddenly started happening a few weeks ago, but I decided recently to find all imaginary friends (which I've never really used for more than a few minutes total), and delete them. Last night I found one more, and removed it. No Build Buy error pop-ups yet, and I tried to recreate the error many times.
