I'm frequently getting interactions I'm not longer doing getting stuck as the first item in my Sims's queue. It's been happening for a while, and I'm not sure when it started. Cancelling the interaction just causes the interaction to display with an X through it. The only way I can clear the interaction is by resetting the Sims or going to World Management/Travel. Going off Lot for a Career does not remove it.
This happens to me constantly. It becomes a bigger issue with larger families and if infants/toddlers or pets are present. I'm constantly having to reset my sims.

As we can see all platforms have this problem.
I have this bug since something like two years.
It’s still an issue. New game install on new laptop, Windows, base game.
Welcome Wagon is happening, fruit cake is served. Eating fruit cake is stuck.
Please fix this ongoing issue. It’s been years since it’s broken.
