So i wanted a ladder through the bathroom for my teenage sims to go down and up and its telling me that they can’t go down n up now I’ve tried moving the ladder and it’s saying the same thing I don’t know if it a bug or im just **bleep**e at building please help! Also I don’t have mods I use a Xbox also I’ve tried using different ladders and it still doing work. An also i don’t know if it has anything to do with the fact That it’s an apartment that I made using for rent but Yh idk what to do.
It looks to me like the sim is standing on a platform, surrounded by a half wall, is that correct? Have you tried deleting the section of half wall between the platform and the ladder? I don't know for sure, but that seems like something that might result in a routing error. Let us know if that changes anything. Also, did you use the moveobjects cheat at all in this build? It might be helpful if you shared the build on the gallery and linked to it here so that other people can test it in their own game and see if they can figure out what's going on.

Okay, I put it in my game and yeah, as I suspected, it's the use of the half wall around the edge of the platform that's blocking the sim from using the ladder. Once I deleted that section of half wall, my testing sim could use the ladder without a problem. I don't know whether EA considers that a bug or if they would say it's working as intended. Since the ladder can be placed there without the use of moveobjects, I would argue that it is indeed a bug.
Unfortunately, that means if you want the ladder to work, you're going to have a funny bit of wall there. I looked through the platform trims to see if any of them are a decent match for the wall texture you're using, and while there are some brick options, none of them are the same colour. So unless you want to repaint the whole building, the "Ton of Bricks" platform is probably your best option, as it looks kind of okay in certain lights as long as you don't look too close? I tested, and even though the top of the trim clips with the ladder, it doesn't stop a sim from using it.
