Laptop break again right after repair

Sim level 8 in DIY, 4th repair of the standard laptop in a row, it breaks down immediately...  No gnomes or ghosts in the house. I tried with another sim, level 9 DIY, same result No mods or CC in ...

Sounds like something is broken about that laptop.

Was the first time this happened ? Did you play the last limited event with the same computer ? Just pondering if the blast from the past task has anything to do with it.

Yes, this is the first time it has happened. 
I am not sure, but it's possible that this computer was used at the event blast from the past. 
Indeed, there may be a link with the event

    I would just play on with a new computer and see if it happens again.
