LastException during travel: VehicleLiabilities.py error

The Sims 4 (PC/Mac) — Patch 1.118.257.1220

Platform: macOS (Apple Silicon / Metal)
Mods/CC Installed? No. This occurred in a vanilla game with no Mods or CC.

Issue Summary

The game generates repeated LastException logs referencing vehicle_liabilities.py:307. The error states:

AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'can_transition_over_node'

I did not receive any in-game LastException popup, and the game did not crash, but I did notice slowdown and slight glitchiness before I found the logs. Since this occurred in vanilla, I believe this is a core game issue.

Steps to Reproduce

I do not know the exact trigger. I was playing normally in a new save with the latest pack installed when the slowdown and glitch occurred. I later discovered the LastException logs in my Sims 4 folder.

I suspect it may occur when Sims/NPCs attempt to use vehicles, or during routing while traveling/entering a lot. Exact reproducibility is unclear.

What I Expected to Happen

Sims should route or travel without generating errors.

What Actually Happened

The game produced repeated LastException logs (attached). The error trace shows a failure in vehicle routing logic during _get_close_to_deploy.

Frequency

Happened multiple times in one session. Generated several LastException files in the same play session.

Getting this also. Very Annoying!! Why is this game so broken? My sim was just eating breakfast with his grandma in their kitchen in Gibbi Point.

Crinrict & EA Solaire, vanilla games are full of bugs too. Also it wouldn't be a vanilla game with the Better Exception mod in. And how could the Bug Forum be for unmodded games only? This whole thread is about a mod? I know you're flooded with reports but these are just players seeking help from a company that doesn't care bout them. Not trying to be rude. Happy Simming!

Ever since the most recent expansion pack, I've frequently encounter last exception errors. My better exceptions report keeps giving me a ten percent chance that vehicle_liabilities is the cause and nothing I've done has made it stop. I have done all the necessary steps multiple times over, I've taken out all mods, I've deleted the thumbcache, and repaired the game several times.
When an error with this happens, the game will almost pause itself without pausing. If it is raining, the rain will continue and I'll be able to move the camera and click things on the UI, but my sim will be frozen and I'll be unable to have them interact with anything until this period has ended. These glitches(?) can last anywhere from fifteen seconds to a full minute. It is incredibly frustrating given there is seemingly nothing I can do.
Does anyone have any ways I can resolve this?

To be sure your LE isn't different, could you also c/p the content of yours ? Make sure to remove all your mods (including BE) and post the content of the vanilla exception file found in your documents folder.
