Okay, issue is still there. I'm assuming it wont be a priority since so few are console users. But, a work around is to connect a mouse which will allow you to use the genetic part for rebirthing. The ressemble past sim is still broken for me so if it is the same for you then just download the sim your rebirthing into the family and use their genetics to make the rebirth sim look almost exactly like them then just delete the parent. That's the only work around I found.
