[LD] Gloomy Weathered Glass Roof doesn't remove ceiling/floor underneath

When I use the "gloomy weathered glass roof" roof pattern that comes with Life & Death, it does not consistently remove the ceiling below it and therefore does not function like the other available glass roofs.

I'm aware that I can remove the ceilings below myself, but that is a workaround, not a fix.

For what it's worth, this bug report already existed in Answers HQ with no fix.

This is happening to me after enchanted by nature download.. For a minute none of the glass roofs were working. It's working now though, no idea what I did.
One another note my game has crashed 3 times so any advice on that would be great.
No mods or cc if you need a save.

Just adding onto this--I also just purchased Enchanted by Nature and now notice the same thing about glass roofs. They no longer allow light through
