When color and style is assigned prior to the event, guests still only show up in regular formal clothing.

Did you mean to pick LS as tag ? I assume it's you mean for funerals still (that would be LD) ?
Dec 5 2025 I recently had 3 Funerals where I chose Polished, Black in event setup but the guests showed up wearing various colors and styles. Multiple problems with those funerals. I reported 2 issues and ignored the clothing until now.
The same is happening in my game - Sims arrive not dressed as chosen for the funeral. Despite choosing a specific style and/or color they still arrive formally dressed. No mods or CC ever, PC player.
This is also the case for me - the guests show up in their normal formal outfits and ignore the specified color (I haven't tried specifying a style). On PS5.
