I want to be able to test this without mods, i just don't know how. I could trigger it, but then i don't know how i would notice it. I am using a mod just to be able to let me see who is being marked...

To be sure, you didn't use any other mods than SimsInfo ?
Did you check the profiles too ?
the first time with January, I had my full suite of mods. But I was playing the Specters in part because I wanted to see if it would happen again, since they live there and all. so on Saturday morning i saved and removed all but sim Info Manager, I figured that one was less likely than MCCC to mess with marrying off sims unannounced
