[LD] Rebirthed sim is not added to an existing household

Hi shinjitenoyami

• at which point did you remove your mods ? Before or after the rebirth ? Did you try again on a backup without mods/cc ?
• Could you add a pic of CAS ?

I saved right before the ghost went into the Baleful Bog and retried the Rebirth without mods. It worked exactly the same (incorrect) way. I've tried multiple households. The first sim in the list shows with the Rebirth symbol and the two options (resemble past life or mess with genetics), but it's not my sim, it's still Eliza Pancakes:

I do get the "path to rebirth" popup in the upper right corner. But my sim is not being reborn.

Also, this time when I exited out of CAS, it went back to the "choose a household to be rebirthed into" screen, but this time it was Eliza Pancakes, not my sim, and when I picked a new household she got rebirthed into a horse??

When my sim dies and tries to reincarnate into a family, instead of being reborn into a new infant, they’ll try to reincarnate into the left-most member of a household. If I agree, the game treats it as if rebirth didn’t happen. Tested it on different sims, different saves, happens in 100% cases, rebirth feature completely broken. I have all major DLCs installed and no mods.

Hello, meeting exactly the same issue, no mods installed, my ghost sim has completed his soul journey, i bring him to the Baleful Bog to use Rebirth, choose the Capp as his new family and when CAS opens up my sim isn't there, only the 4 Capps, with Tybalt bearing the Rebirth icon. Any idea why this is happening or how to work around it?

I don't want a 'work around' - I want it fixed! I am so tired of all these things that don't work. Seems it's an endless list no matter the recent fixes. Sigh.

This is not really aimed at you - I understand your frustration.

When my ghost tried to rebirth she just disappeared she did not appear in the family I chose for her to rebirth into she just was gone this happened a year ago evidently and is listed as fixed but it is not fixed it is still happening

I'm also having problems. My ghosts can rebirth IF I'm setting them up in a new household. I had two sims rebirth: one with a ton rewards traits and one with none. Both of them couldn't be reborn into an existing household. It would try to merge with the first existing sim member then when I would cancel it was that living sim who would show up to be rebirthed in a different home. I ended up rebirthing them into new lots and merging them/cheating their relationships. Obviously that is far less preferred.
