I'm having the same after my faerie sim went into the Baleful Bog and she had a sad moodlet, now she's broken-hearted all the time and it does rather mess with gameplay. I've tried the moodlet solver aspiration reward potion but it doesn't fix it even temporarily. No mods etc used. Totally conflicts with the sim's cheerful trait.
