I think I am having the same issue.

In my currently active household, I can't see my sims' family tree. Heidi's family tree looks like this first picture. The first picture shows Heidi's cousin (third from the top, left side) being married to one of Heidi's distant relatives (third from the top, right side), but he is married to someone else.
