The family tree on my legacy save file from 2020 with a lot of sims on, is so broken. The sims are not on the correct places, and they dont have correct titles. It shows that sims are married to the wrong ones, couples suddenly appear as siblings and on my family tree it even shows a child sims as married with 2 kids, it was supposed to be his grown up sister, not the child sim. It also have stacked a lot of sims, making it impossible to see who is related to who. I will try to upload some pics of what I mean. I only play with cc and mc command center, and mccc is updated. So I dont think its a mod related issue.
My tree is messed up too. One of my sims became an aunt to her kids and a mother to sims that aren't even related. She doesn't have siblings and isn't married. The overlap in the tree is a tangled mess. They should have left it alone.
I'm having the same issues in my legacy save file. Not only is my heir apparently the child to her aunt, but her mother doesn't even appear on the family tree. When I click on other sims it says her mother is dead despite her being alive and in my household. Additionally, other sims that use to appear on the tree prior to this update are now lost. It's so frustrating because the previous family tree system in the game, while a little bare, was at least functional. I fear the sims team is either not going to address it or "fix it" but only for new saves.
Same thing here with the Thebe family, the mother is now grandmother to both husband and wife in the family tree but it says she's the mother in law in text... Messed up.
Mine is also glitched. Every Sim in my save is somehow related to my active Sim households. It's just a big mess of lines and random NPCs.
yes mine is really broken and not even showing me my direct line, and says they are married to the wrong person in many places.
My husband and wife are also grandparent/child so that's cool...
The worst part is that mods can't fix it. I've tried using mccc and ui cheat extension to delete and add relationship bits, but since doing so does not affect the tree itself, as soon as I load a different lot or exit and restart the game, the bits all go back to being completely broken. Because of this I have a married couple that are half-siblings and can't romantically interact with each other. Trying to modify it in cas doesn't work either. It's so frustrating; this update has messed up my save so bad.
Same for me, its completely messed up and some of my fav legacy sims are gone from the family tree and listed as "unknown".
