I used to try pair up all the townies, aiming eventually get to a single sim who was related to ALL the starting premades.
So this save has a massive family tree, kind of perfect to display the collapsing issues!

It would be great if there were other view-options we could switch between, like an ancestor or pedigree version, where you could then switch back to this full view when you'd located the sim or generation you wanted to view.
Or like they have on genealogy sites like Ancestry where you can choose how many generations you want displayed at once.
This is so reasonable. Expect a fix in 6-12 months. God, I hope some modder can't stand this mess and creates a usable tree in the game
