Legacy Scenario won't end

The legacy scenario won't end even after I've completed it. I already had the grandmother in the household when she died, and I immediately engraved the message but neither of them cleared. I then removed the grandmother from the household and had her move somewhere else. I had Lila go invite her back to the house and it still didn't clear. I thought I could trigger it by releasing the grandmother since that was an optional task. that task didn't clear either.
