You need to complete a fortune aspiration. When you’ve completed it, you will have disabled the curse. All you need to do then is click on your sim and an action bubble will pop up letting you disable it. You may have to select more choices a couple times before you see it. Hopefully that helps. It took me a while to figure it out as well.
So when it says complete a fortune aspiration, does that mean like the entire aspiration or would a milestone suffice? e.g. I just completed the "Going for Not Broke" milestone for the Fabulously Wealthy aspiration and I'm still not able to disable it. I put it on my teen sim and took it right off after finding this out but the curse is still there. I feel like she's gonna be uncomfortable for a long time lmao

The WHOLE aspiration. Not just a milestone or a stage. The whole aspiration.
you have to complete the entire 4 stages of the “fabulously wealthy” or the other one.
I said screw it and motherloded through because this was getting stupid. I don’t even know HOW I got this stupid ring/curse in the fist place.
I’ve disabled it. I thought, okay maybe I just have to go through and disable on all outfits and be good. Nope.
Can get it off in CAS. Have to CONTINUOUSLY disable the stupid curse. And can’t even get someone else to take the **bleep** ring (which I’ve read hasn’t even been working for people).
this is getting ridiculous and I’m about done playing.
I was without my computer for about 8months while my husband did a full rebuild of both our computers and I come back to this crap. I’m not impressed.- Ventuso118 days agoNew Spectator
Oh wow that's a hefty consequence for something so small lol. Yeah that is frustrating, thanks for clarifying.
