to be sure I understand this correctly, you're using this bench in a lounge to be recognized as love seat ? Not a bench ? The issue you're referring to was about some benches not counting as benches (in parks mainly) so basically our issue is the other way round.
Seems there's a few benches that count and other don't. I'm checking with a CM if this is a bug.

So, here’s the situation: this concerns the pre-made lounge “Laguna del Abrazo” from the Lovestruck DLC—one of the four pre-built venues designed specifically for dates.
As one of the featured lot types in this DLC, a lounge is supposed to require two loveseats. However, strangely enough, the bench used on this lot is not recognized as a loveseat, but instead categorized as outdoor furniture. (I’m not sure what the item is called in the original English version, but in the Chinese version, one of the three outdoor items in this DLC is literally named “loveseat,” lol.)
Because of this, the lot cannot function as a valid date venue—unless the player manually edits it in Build Mode.
As shown in the attached image, only two sets of sofas—clearly not suitable for outdoor use—meet the lounge lot requirements.
At the same time… a bench from the new Royalty & Legacy DLC is actually recognized as a loveseat (they look almost identical!), which makes this seem very clearly like a design oversight.
