[LS] Friendship/Romance Neighborhood stories happening turned off

I have neighborhood stories turned on in my game, but the friendship and romance ones were so annoying that I turned them off for both played and unplayed households. However, every day there are neighborhood stories almost exclusively about friendship and romance changes. Worse yet, it completely disregards my sims' sexual preferences. So for instance I hear through neighborhood stories that my sim's straight sister is now dating a woman. It's very annoying because it completely messes with storylines and disregards what you have set up. PLEASE FIX IT. This has been happening for a few months now.
