I noticed as I play the sims when I pick a sim from the cupid's corner that is made by someone or not in a household the male sim voice is male but when he leaves the lot or go some where with the sim u talk to him with your sim you can't hear his voice and when you do he has a female voice when you go to modify in cas to fix his voice to got back to a man's voice you can't fix it it says and he sounds like a male in crate a sim but when you exit creat a sim he still sounds like a female voice and you can't fix it
I have the same issue in my game. I'm playing The Sims 4 right now. I just had a date with a sim that my sim knows from Cupid's Corner. Her date is a male sim created by someone on the gallery, so this sim was imported in my game. This date was the first time they met. He had a female voice. I used the CAS.fulleditmode cheat to see if I could change his voice, but I had the same issue as you. In CAS his voice was set to a male voice. I also changed some outfits and when I loaded back into live mode, the voice nor outfits were changed... Very strange... Hopefully they can fix this issue, because it is quite annoying.
