I'm experiencing the same issue! My sim found a match on cupid's corner, added him to my contact list and started dating. I changed him in CAS, and the changes didn't show up in live mode. Going back into CAS does show the changes that i made. He is now in my household and he seems to be going back to his old clothes/hair when I load into a new lot. Going into CAS and back to live mode seems to help, but I have to do that everytime I load into a new lot. He also has the female voice!
