I have had this bug since Lovestruck I believe. Occurs with or without mods. Like someone else said, it makes many of my sims look like clowns. The swatches can be quite heavy, and opacity adjustment makes a HUGE difference. Especially on many of my cis male sims or non makeup wearing sims, I rely on a 10-25% opacity for cheeks and lips so on, it adds depth you cannot acheive in skin details. But it will look great in CAS and then the game loads and it honestly looks so terrible I have literally let out a laugh (a mournful one - bc it means I can't use makeup unless i'm down to commit to the primary swatches which for me are almost always a 'no' and for many sims an absolutely not because they aren't supposed to look like they are wearing makeup based on my vision for them.
Just want to say I found the post about what you all are up to to be really exciting. I am so grateful for any work on performance. As a long time (since TS1 as a child) player, this will always be the most important thihng to me. The game is so much more immersive when it works as expected, and I seriously value that this is being treated as a priority and that message is being socialized, with encouragement to report issues no less.
Keep up the good work, you guys are truly awesome (whether or not opacity ever gets fixed <3) and often get a tough shake in feedback because there are so many people out there (myself included) that enjoy the game so much that every little thing bothers us.
also livestream was rad, seeing personality in the team is huge. would love to see more streams of more of the team, especially engineering based on what we hear about the passion behind features.
