Admittedly I used MCCC to verify this but in my experience (including since Tuesdays patch) bartenders will start practicing drink making at which point they lose the hidden bartending moodlet that allows sims to order drinks for them. FTR I still experience this with mods turned off.
is this Permanent for you tough since the patch ? I've done some more intensive testing and I can make it happen reproducibly after my Sim ordered a drink but it will only last a short time and then they are done with the idle and the interactions are back (whereas they did never come back before the patch).
This didn't happen before the bug so they must have changed something.
If there's lots of guests, the idle also is paired with talking but for me, they always snap out of it after a few and the option is back.
I always had them come back (eventually) before the patch. I would also often reset object the bartender when they started doing the practice making drinks interaction and they would then start tending the bar again.
