Moving Items Between Inventories Glitch

I have no mods or custom content

In live mode, item stacks glitch when I'm trying to move them. For example, moving items from my Sim's inventory into the apothecary table's inventory glitches. It occurs with other inventories too, like the fridge inventory. Item images will double up, and the stacks won't move between inventories. This also happen with individual items. 

I've tried closing the game and restarting; moving items works for a while, then begins glitching again. The same happened after I tried repairing the game. I'm trying to avoid uninstalling & reinstalling because that will take forever with all the packs I have.
