My wedding will never end

I just ran into the same issue! Thanks for your suggestion, I had no idea what to do.

alexanderfels​ Dannirossb​ Always good to assume first that your issue is mods. Start at Previously Broken mods and CC and the current Broken and Updated Mods and CC list. Any time there's a game patch, a mod that was fine before can be not fine now.

I just had this happen. I was able to go into cas, then click manage worlds from there. Went to a neighbors place and invited my sims there and was able to get out of the event. I know it’s a little late to help you but just in case somebody else is having the same problem.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I just ran into this issue and that’s the only thing that helped.

Ok! This was plaguing me for two days. Finally I went to the neighborhood my sims lived in. Clicked on their house and then clicked visit highlighting the both of them. It brought them home and they were still married! So the wedding still happened without having to do it all over again. 

I'm also having this issue! 

Yes, same problem here.
Couldn't use M, go home, or an X and even saving and going to main menu didn't solve it.
But! My freshly wed family could go volunteer together through their phone menu.
After they did, the social event finished 🥳
Just needed a bit of a good deed to get out of wedding prison 🤔

Hi! I'm also having this problem. Volunteering seemed to work :) 

Dealing with this tonight, tried to volunteering and sending the active SIM off for a volunteer job, this didn’t work for me, she came straight back to her wedding.  Entered CAS through shift-modify CAS and couldn’t get them out in manage worlds so I tried CAS to main menu and reloaded.  This did work with a little data loss as I had to redo their proposal etc!  I don’t think it would have worked had I saved at the wedding stage.  Interestingly, this only happened to me today using the custom wedding option, when I did it as an event differently earlier on today it didn’t stick like that.   The custom option left a box at the top left that said wedding event, but no options underneath to complete the mission or escape from it.  So this is a very specific and active bug! 

Same issue here although I do own Adventure Awaits and have no mods.

Just had this exact problem! The custom wedding ceremony ui has the getaway symbol and there's no way to end the event. I went to main menu and loaded back into the same save but with a different family and then went back to my original family who was trapped in the wedding and the event had ended. Very annoying!

I've just also encountered this bug, with no X on show in the event title (top left).

My wedding cake also disappeared, even though the wedding topper was applied 😒

However, the solution I had after wondering how to supply a new cake (although I couldn't travel/be bothered to bake a new one) was to simply hover over where the X would be (far right, next to 'Ceremony'), and the X appeared: the event was cancelled/had ended successfully.

My two sims are still married, and as a bonus, gained §200... I'm not sure why, but I will consider it as an inconvenience refund lol.

Hopefully anyone else who encounters this bug may be able to find the X hidden in the event title card.

I know this is such a stupid pack for gameplay, and it probably shouldn't take a lot to make the UI function properly ): I appreciate the funerals working though xx

On a side note, real cake disappears into my mouth 😆

I am having the same problem!

I have this same visual issue! However, if I hover over the right side of the white bar where it says "Wedding Ceremony" an X will appear for you to end it. I did an engagement dinner and the event ended by itself but I couldn't tell when it would end. I took out all my mods (I just have MCCommand and UI), downloaded the most recent versions, and it still is bugged. I tried removing my mods completely and disallowing mods in setting in the game menu - still didn't fix it. I tried repairing the game in the EA menu while my mods are fully gone- still didn't fix it.  I've ran out of troubleshooting ideas :(
