I remember back when the game started, friends invited my Sims to birthday parties. And to other parties too. I'm talking specifically about the ones held at home, not somewhere out in town. But over time, the invitations stopped. Apparently, it's a bug in the game, and I thought it would be right to report it.
No mods or CC. All the expansions included. PC.
Oh, I remember it was a thing. I thought it is because my save file has beed created a while ago. I also don't have a replace for the Bess Sterling and stay-over calls (they were in another post).
How old is your save file? Maybe this is connected to that?

My save is pretty new, only about two weeks old.

I had forgotten but yes I remember, and no, I never get birthday party invites either.
I've been playing TS4 since 2020 and never ever received a birthday party invite until a couple of months ago, when I was playing basegame for a challenge. Travis Scott invited my sim to his birthday. I continued playing basegame until a couple of weeks ago when I added Seasons. There were no further invitations either during the remaining basegame play or since adding Seasons. Maybe Seasons blocks the birthday party invites? I've never played without Seasons until this challenge.

In 5 years of playing this game, I think only one of my Sims received an invitation. Same with the invitation to attend a fancy charity event (I don't remember how it's called) I didn't even know it was a possibility. These events are more rare than winning the in-game lottery or having triplets :(
