No Promotions. Getting Raises instead

I play on mac with no mods other than cas CC. One of my sims in the entertainer career won't get promotions, only raises, and he is level 6 with his promotion tasks completed. Another sim who was level 5 culinary career just got promoted to level 10 after one shift, and his promotion tasks were not even completed. I assume this is a bug from the latest update, as promotions were working completely normal before I updated my game. 

ronwxn​ are you also not using mods/cc ? What platform are you on ?

SimpleSimmer03​ Did you try moving the entire mods folder to the desktop ? Please also remove your cc to test

I'm having issues with promotions to. I reached level 10 in the Charity Organiser branch, and it took me back to the beginning of level 9 with no promotion

I've been seeing this in the Gardener career as well.

I'm on pc no mods no cc, my sim is level eight in the culinary career (they were level eight pre July 1st update) with six raises seemly unable to get promoted. My other sim is getting promoted fine but they're level 3 in the astronaut career.

I'm getting this too in the astronaut career he is stuck on level 6 of the career but has gotten 15 raises, i had no mods or cc installed at the time of the update and didn't when I continued playing when this started

Jobs (for me at level 9) are not promoting the sim to level 10, instead they're giving them infinite raises infinitely. The sim cannot progress to level 10 of the career. Gameplay is pure vanilla with no mods, cc or anything like that, I've tried reinstalling, verifying cache, quitting and reapplying to the job, leveling through other jobs to see if I could trick the game into remembering how to promote and no dice. I've met all the promotion prerequisites and the daily tasks, etc. (everything mechanical checks out). I suspect this is a new thing because of the recent patch, I haven't experienced this before the new update. Any suggestions or fixes are welcome :)

I am also having this glitch on xbox. I've got two raises on level 9 of the scientist career. 

I have the same Issue, and at first I thought that would be a new feature but it hasn't stopped, only salary raises after a certain level, in my case Level 7 criminal boss path and level 9 technology start-up entrepeneur.

I had removed the whole mod file and cleared all caches for a copied safefile, restarted pc (no mac), but there were no normal promotion, only salary raise every workday. Both have the perk for faster promotions and a long list of earned archievements. Right now I'm playing without aging up, basegame +  several stuff packs and bb kits. The list is here.
