No Promotions. Getting Raises instead

I have no idea if this topic is up already and seeing how many topics are up I am NOT trying to scroll through them all, and with EA wanting to limit customer service and not allow a call option and handicapping us, paying customers thst are paying their paychecks, to a "forum" help customer service. Firstly: HORRID idea and a pretty scummy one as well but I guess that's EA for ya. 

My issue is as follows. Had an update happen, probably some crap for one of the MANY expansion packs (over priced btw but again, that's EA for ya) and has literally broken job promotion advancement. The bar was increase during work but once something other than "carrer" is picks from the sim options (I.E. Career, Needs, ect) it will reset back to second bar of current advancement level. This happens for ALL careers and literally will give a "raise" every second day of working whole the progress bar resets. This is extremely frustrating because NONE of the careers I put my sim into are maxed out. Started with Scientist at level 9. Quit and retook career thinking that might fix...nope, now stuck at level 7 and can not advance. I've done a system cache clear recently to try and correct issues with another game but even doing so did not fix this issue. Console player, PS5
