Ideas
I don't have problems with regular job promotions anymore but I do have 100% problems with the afterschool activity promotions. So far I have tested Cheer and I believe my sim got all that way in that one just fine. But then went to Drama and not a single promotion would come. Now doing chess team and same problem. My sim is level 10 in all his skills and does the daily tasks but it won't promote him. Prior to doing the after school activities he did a side hustle for video game streaming and promotions in that were successful. I think after he completed that I did buy him the "Connections" trait and maybe that caused the problem. I'm about to go in and remove it and I'll update if it helps.
