Sim joined painter career, promoted as normal until level 6 where we have to choose a career path. After this, no more promotions, just earning a raise. I tried with multiple careers and it still occurs. Every time my sim finishes work and starts daily task, the performance bar rests from excellent to average.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Level up in any career/ Get Promoted while at career level lower than 10. It is important to include that my sim has the Entrepreneurial trait. Even so i advise to test it both with and without the trait.
What happens when the bug occurs? Instead of getting the the next career level, sim gets a raise, sometimes the game consideres the career maxed even though the level of the career is showing as lower than 10. The bug occurs even when mods are disabled and game restarted.
What do you expect to see? Leveling up in a career from level 1 to level 10 (level by level) and after max career level is achived (level 10) getting a raise each time the performance bar reaches max

Same here what I don't understand is in your post it says no CC or mods, same with me. Why do all responses to bug reports then keep asking about this when it's stated there are none?
My character is level 9 in the Paint career and has now gotten 5 raises and will not be promoted to level 10. I'm reading that I need to remove the entrepreneurial trait in order to proceed, but there's no way to do that without mods and I'm trying to get the trophy for maxing that career.
I'm having the same glitch. I'm currently doing the Super Sim challenge and my sim was level 6 of the culinary career then after one shift went to level 8 but I was told they had maxed the career. After this my sim just continued to get raises. This happened in that save file pre update and a new save file I made after then update. It's made my game unplayable and I hope it get's fixed soon.

My Sim is in the Oracle Career path and is at level 8 "Anonymous Ghost". She has all the skill to promote completed with the checks and she does the daily task before going to work each day. She keeps getting to excellent and then gets a raise, but never gets promoted. I have had her quit her job and rejoin the career and the same thing is happening. She has some of the aspiration perks that allow her to enter the career ahead and she was promoted from "Ghost" to Anonymous Ghost", but now she is stuck again. Any thoughts on if it is me or if it is a game issue? I have no mods and I play on a PC.
I've got it yesterday. For me it's a really anoying bug, because I can't get any career to max and unlock anything - that's bad....
I believe this has been pointed out before. It’s believed that the Entrepreneurial trait is messing with a Sim’s ability to get promoted. Currently my Sim has completed all of his promotion and daily tasks as an Author but is sitting at level 7 +28. He does have the bugged trait. I have no mods and no CC.
