No sitting on chair when roasting at campfire

I removed my whole mods folder and still the sims don't sit on a clipped in chair around a campfire, she will get off the chair and sit on the ground to roast food.  I tried different campfires and chairs, even used the campfire and green camping chair only from Outdoor retreat, nothing helps.  I also saw that sims don't want to go to a kitchen island and chair or dining table and chair autonomously to eat, they just stand around in the kitchen close to a stove or grill and stand and eat.
