I create adult/young adult sims using the occult eyes, but when I use the Play With Genetics option to create a family, their children are given a random eye colour, instead of the occult eyes that the parents have. This includes the mermaid, alien, and vampire eye sets, as the fairy eyes are not available for younger sims. Although teens do not inherit the fairy eyes either.
