Ongoing University Presentation Board Loss

Hi there, so my sim recently lost her presentation board after having moved, but I specifically placed it out of inventory in the new lot, saved, and went about my business. i had about 4-5 random sims come inside because I had introduced myself to them and forgot to lock my door lol, it was NOT the welcome wagon. i saved after they left as well, just as a rule of thumb. anyway, after they all left, I noticed it was gone. so I went to each sims household assuming if they stole it, itd be there, by this point I've mistakenly saved with it being gone so I cannot leave the game and come back into it, and no other sim has it. 

there used to be a mod to email the professors and get a new board, but I've since been unable to find that. How in the WORLD am I supposed to get a new one? I've long accepted I've no choice but to finish the course without a board, but this has got to give at some point. EA should've been the ones to add the option to email professors themselves.

    By any chance did you look in the household inventory, just in case it went there for some reason?  If not there, all I would know to do is roll back to a save prior to its disappearance.

    I think the mod you mentioned is on Mod the Sims but it hasn't been updated since 2019.  I haven't used mods at all in TS4 but did in earlier TS games.  Personally, I wouldn't use a mod that hadn't been updated for six years but the decision as to whether or not to try it is up to you.  I think if you do all the work for the class your sim should still pass, although I think we all always strive for at least an A in a course and I'm not sure that's possible without the presentation.

    Yes I checked my own and any sims who came into my lots household and personal inventories. 

    I was unaware of the mods current existence and had hoped something similar had come out in the meantime. that being said, using a 6 year old mod sounds just as crazy to me as it does to you.
