Outrageously High Bills

Yeah, I'm having that problem too. My bills went from $18,000 a month to $47,000. Wow yours is incredible high though....sims needs to fix this asap. Along with everything else. Yet still coming out with new packs. Smh

Due to other issues going on I hadn't been able to get a full bill at home yet. Had to move to different homes to get rid of some stuff that was happening. Then I decided my poor sims needed a vacation so I took them to Granite Falls for a week, and then this happened while there on vacation right now.........

Before I came on the vacation I came and edited the vacation rental so it had decent beds, plumbing and appliances, saved and went back to sims home and then scheduled the vacation. So I have no idea why I would get this insane bill. Prior to this vacation when I had to move the family around, I moved them back to the home Diego and Giovanna were living in prior to moving in with Jake. It is a huge house with just as much stuff in it as Jake's house and the bill that came in while they were there was this...

There are two floors underground in this house as well. Anyhow I will finish vacation and get some solid testing and figures in. 

I do and always have. So the norm should be the norm. I'm not complaining about high bills, but to go from 90K to over 300K was my last straw. I always have to manually change the thermostat seasonally once I remember or the sims complain about being too hot or cold. I just looked and I forgot to change it again so gonna finish the week out and see what the bill is and then do a full week of keeping it warmer in the winter. I'm usually pretty on that but maybe that could be it I guess as the house is pretty large. And since I forgot to put in solar panels this might make the difference. I will post an update once I get a full bill with the furnace running full blast :)

Do you by chance have a thermostat on your lot? I remember that thermostats caused extremely high bills in the past. Not sure if that was ever fixed.  If you do, try removing and testing.  Just make sure your sims are always dressed for the weather so they don't freeze or overheat. (or grab the reward traits for heat / cold acclimation to give you plenty of time before they do or heat / cold proof so you never have to worry about what they are wearing.)
