It seems like this BUG of broken "paint from reference" option has been ongoing for a month + and the newest game update did NOT fix the problem.
After taking a break from playing this game due to this ongoing bug, I returned to check. Downloaded the newest update and thought I could finally return to my game play. First thing I did was created a new Paint from Reference painting, a beautiful beach scene. Low and behold, when I saved and exited the game and then returned, my painting was gone - turned white- because apparently this bug has not been fixed with the latest update.
The disappointment is significant and it makes me question the model of the game creators having the power to break the game that I already purchased with certain features that were imbedded in decades of game play.
Meanwhile the sale is promoting purchasing more expansions, which I wouldn't mind doing, if it weren't for the fact that the game as is is already falling apart.
What is an appropriate expectation of when this base game functionality is fixed?
