Parenting Predicaments: Complete Child Aspiration Task Won't Complete

As described in the title. In the Parenting Predicaments scenario, I've definitely completed the task to fulfil two child aspirations (several times over), but the task won't register as complete in the scenario tasks panel. I can't seem to find a resolution for this issue.

I don't use any mods / custom content etc to my knowledge, and I'm using the base game only - no packs or add-ons etc.

Hopefully you can see what I mean in the screenshot (see the panel in the top-left).

I'm not techy so need jargon-free answers please! :)
