When the babies become infants, the parents cannot interact with the infant and must be introduced to their own infant by a babysitter.

it has been going on for a while, but i guess its hard to keep track of all those messages. I bet you have a lot. Look at me answering you 3 months later....
This issue appears to still be ongoing with the "beloved" trait. I have a sim with this trait who was unable to interact with her infant (she birthed the child and was able to interact when it was a newborn) until someone else introduced her to the infant. I have not had this issue with any other sim, only the sim with the "beloved" trait. I have checked other save files and no mods/cc.
After a baby ages up to an infant, every member of my household has to be introduced to them by a nanny or butler. It's getting pretty tiresome. This has been an issue for a long time.

well bummer.... the issue was gone for a few saves, but now with this save it's back.... I thought it was a mod issue, but I now believe firmly it is a vanilla game issue
I just experienced this for the first time, and I’m not sure if it has anything to do with them being born while I was away playing another household, but finding a resolution would be nice.
Brand new issue for me, just started today. One parent has the beloved trait, the other is just some **bleep**. Sims 4 save file 12.31.2025
as of today, March 6, it still isn't fixed, and it's becoming so very, very frustrating.... when are they going to fix this nonsense? Please!
after the latest big game update (in which they said infants would be fixed), infants are STILL BROKEN..... EA, get your bloody act together and fix this nonsense!
Their latest update did not say infants would be fixed. Yes, I agree that it is an issue. But the last time infants were mentioned was in the "our team is continuing to investigate these bugs for future updates" section of the March 10th laundry list. Yes, it is frustrating. But they haven't promised an update yet. They apparently don't have a fix yet. All we can do is continue to upvote and report these bugs and wait until they actually do have a fix, which is hopefully soon since as the March 10th post says, it's on their top priority list.
