No I don’t have anyone unfortunately, if I had someone show me that would be easier. I’m a visual learner.

Looks like the file was corrupted as you suggested, because my older ones are completely fine. But my only concern is what's to stop it from happening again?
There is a known issue with Sims turning into siblings that can cause this but also outdated mods.
Does it occur if you put just the save back but none of your mods ? Make sure to copy the save file so yo have a backup.
