We've been trying to reproduce this issue internally and still haven't been able to do so.
If you run into this issue it would be a massive help if you could provide us with your latest ".ver" backup save file so we can see what is happening just before the issue occurs.

I am going to try to send you my latest ".ver" backup save file so you can get some more insight. I would really really appreciate if the team could fix this. I'm finally playing the game consistently after 3 years of not playing and this bug is making me extremely depressed. Thank you so so much.
