I'm playing through the seventh generation of a legacy challenge and when one of my elder sims died, I noticed his husband received the "Loss of a Sibling" moodlet in addition to the "Widowed" moodlet. Before the other sim died I had not seen any change in their relationship, but afterwards I checked and the recently deceased sim was now a half-sibling to his siblings and not related to his mother at all in addition to being a full brother with his husband. He was entirely taken out of the legacy family tree line. I regularly play with same-sex couples in the game and have never experienced this bug before now, so this is pretty frustrating.
