Partnered Sims turn into siblings

Despite many efforts, I have a relationship in my save that the only romantic interaction they can perform is 'offer massage'. I will list the troubleshooting I have already tried:

• uploaded household to gallery, new household still has problem
• I use mods/cc, I tried turning off all mods/cc and problem still there
• tried the "clean folder" technique, created new EA folder and added previous save in new folder
• used MCCC to delete relationship bits, everyone but spouse
  • bit "sisters" keeps popping up despite me removing it, not sure how to get rid of the repeating bit
• When I use cas.fulleditmode they are listed as spouses but you cat change it to anything else, though other relationships has the option for 'partners' 

Any help is greatly appreciated! I'm hoping this is just a typical sims bug and fixes with time

My two sims, Phoenix and Kenzie are married, they have two daughters, they are custom sims with no parents that I made and therefore shouldn't be related.

At some point, after having the kids, I noticed that there were no romance options other than Offer Massage.
When clicking on their bed, there was no option for woohoo, however, clicking on the shower and the pool both gave me the option, but when clicking on it, nothing happens.
I also noticed later that in the relationship tab for both of their profiles, it said that they were sisters. But it still said that they were married. And a reminder that these are custom sims that did not come off the gallery.

Today, I saved the game before doing this, but I used UI Cheats to clear the marriage to see what would happen. They were no longer married, it still said they were sisters and even more annoyingly, I still didn't have any other romance options. I ended up reloading the save from before I did that.

Whatever this glitch is, not only does it not happen in all of my other saves, but one of the daughters is married, has a child, and can still do all romance options with her spouse.

I tagged this with mods, but truthfully, I only have MCCC and UI Cheats, which are both completely updated.

This just started happening to me and I don’t use any mods.  It makes no sense

Are there any fixes for this yet? My couple was turned into siblings. I have a lot of hours with this family and this bug has made it unplayable. It says they're married in CAS and nothing about them being siblings anywhere else but the bit under the profile and they cannot be romantic with each other. I removed the bit and edited with MCCC but it still won't let them be romantic. I deleted one of them and readded her to the family with an old version I had saved and it immediately made them siblings again and the children their niece / nephew.

Is this potentially a bug relating to lesbian sims? I've noticed those are the main couples effected by this, including my own.

My 2 male Sims are married and have had a lot of kids together, both relationship stats have been high up. The only thing I think could've changed it is when I moved one of the Sims out but I moved him back in. The game still says their married but they're unable to do any flirting and the only interaction that appears is embrace. Ive tried repairing the game and trying a new save. Ive seen other fixes like deleting the sim and putting them back in through the gallery, but that deletes all of their relationships with their other kids and puts their relationship back at the start.

sounds like the known issue but could you check the family tree/profile if they are also siblings ?

Saving your entire household in your gallery and restoring it will not help, nor will disabling and re-enabling your mods (although you should always do this just in case). You will not be able to change relationships by deleting them via the profiles in Sims with UI cheats or even by using cas.fulleditmode, as relationships cannot be redefined.

The only way (I have found ) is to:

- Save your Sims one by one in your gallery.

- Delete the entire family.

- Create a new household.

- Replace the Sims one by one.

- Recreate the family relationships as you add them (if you do this at the end, there is a chance that one of the children will consider one of the parents to be their uncle/aunt or brother/sister)

You'll lose the family tree and everything, but it's the only way I could find, and I saved a save file that was important to me that way.

This bug occurs especially if you have blended families (when one of the parents has a child on their side), if one of the parents has an alien child, or if you have cloned one of the parents using the machine available in the science career in the ‘Get to Work’ add-on.
