Partnered Sims turn into siblings

Just as the pic shows, my Sims who are spouses are now listed as sisters and cannot romance. This is really putting a damper on gameplay 😔

On Xbox so no mods 

Same problem here too, and I'm on Xbox so no mods to cause this.  Pregnant looking children, sibling spouses, friggin stop! As someone who is a victim of molestation I can't with this BS. This is game breaking and PTSD activating EA. About to go sink my money on Inzoi on my PC instead🤷🏼‍♀️

Hello. After digging through many solutions, I found the only way to bring my married sims back to normal couple agian with out cloning or using any mods which is go to load game > recover save > recover the latest one when my sims are still a normal couple (or the one before I change my sims in CAS which, in my case, cause this bug). I know it sucks to lost a few progress but at least I can bring them back to normal without harming their relationships and memories. And to prevent this bug, if you want to change thier appeareance (in CAS) of any sims in the household, you have to split that specific sims to a random different household that not owned by you and your sims are not related to so you can safely change them there and then move them back to their original household. Sadly, I don't think they release any updates to fix this bug yet, so what we can do is be careful, recheck their relationships and save the game constantly. 

Same issue happened to me too. I played on mac and pc.

I have an old save file from about two years ago, where a Sim I created and an NPC Sim got married and adopted a girl. Recently, I started playing with this family again. When both Sims developed the "Fear of Being Cheated On," I noticed that there were no romantic interactions available between them. Then, I discovered something even stranger in the family tree: they were not only spouses but also siblings. Since when?? How did I not know this??

I tried all the methods I could find online: cas.fulleditmode, MCCC, adding parents to both of them separately and then deleting all four parents. Unfortunately, none of these worked. I also know there’s another way to fix this—by uploading one Sim from the household to the gallery and then adding them back to the family. However, this would mean losing all their relationships with other Sims and rendering all milestones meaningless. That’s not what I want. I’ve played this family for over 300 hours, and I don’t want to start over with a new household.

So I play on Xbox series S, I have all the packs and kits for the game and in my longest save file I have 3 spell-casters who are all romantic partners and for some reason they have become sisters when their not even related by blood. I can’t do any romantic interactions with them only serenade and give massage and it has me very upset. I also have lovestruck so the romance bar right now is full but with that pack it’ll eventually dwindle down eventually and I won’t be able to do anything to restore their romantic relationships with each other. If there are any fixes for this it’ll really be appreciated. Btw I don’t play with mods at all so I can’t use MCC or anything else other than normal cheats for the game. I tried using the cheat: cas.fulleditmode to switch them back but it was unsuccessful. They even have a label in their sim profile that says they’re all sisters and that’s just incorrect. Please help ! This is my longest save file I’ve had since I started playing and I don’t wanna have to resort to drastic measures and mess up my family tree. 

For clarification, Hope Brignoni, Jacquelyn Black and Etta Bishop are in a polygamous relationship (even though there are none in the sims 4, but I was using my imagination) and they’re not supposed to be sisters, they’re supposed to be romantic partners. I attached photos of the labels, household relationships and the family tree and how they state their sisters. Mind you my sim Hope Brignoni is a descendant of the first ever sims I made of me and my husband. I’ve been playing this save game for 10+ years. I’m on generation 8. Please help ! 😩

Editing one sim's liked activities results in engaged sims becoming siblings. Using mods to remove this flag doesn't fix the issue. 

Edit: this issue was 1st reported 6 years ago ( looked at the archived file) and still no solution has occured, that I am aware of. 

Orginal post:  I just found this today while looking for anything related to the science career that is similiar to the issue I just found with the Science career/Get to Work.  I am pretty livid now!!! 

 When I played the science career over 4 yrs ago, I cloned my sim in the lab per the science career daily work goals, over 4 yrs ago, I had the same issue!  My then married couple became siblings!!  With children already! I had cc in that game that.  ------  I was told it corrupted my game and this was why this issue happened!!  Imagine how I feel now?!?!?  😱

They talked me through deleting everything including the (at the time, Origin platform) and helped me get everything reinstalled 100% clean with not CC or MOD.  Hence my attitude about cc and mod.  

I have been playing it the last couple of weeks for the 1st time in 4 yrs but with a 100% virgin game after losing the previous 4 years of game play. 

 My point:  when it came up to clone my sim, I didn't do it!!!!  I refused to because I recalled what happened before and just didn't feel it necessary to do so.  It was a nightmare back then and a nightmare I opted to skip.  I am now 100% grateful I did not, but now clearly disturbed that I lost 4 yrs of my game play back then for something that is still occurring today!!!!!  

I've been playing with this save for the past couple days, but today the option to have my sims interact romantically with each other is gone. They were married, had a full romance bar, and had a kid together, but then the option to interact romantically at all was gone today in the save. I looked in another save and it seems to be fine so I am not sure why this save is not working. I've tried to look up a fix but I haven't seen anything that would help. I attached two pictures, one from the broken save and one from a save that worked. I didn't have any mods installed and I'm not sure of anything that could've broken it since it seemingly randomly decided to get rid of that option.
