A few minutes into playing after updating, my sim gets a call from her cousin to say that the cousin is now in a relationship with her own brother. I went into the other family to check and sure enough they have a romance bar, and are tagged siblings, sweethearts, and partners. This is NOT okay.

This occurs during loading (occurs during all loading sessions up to the Sim control screen).
The "Spouse" and its icon have been removed from the "Relationships" list.
The screenshot shows a Sim set as "Spouse" in CAS during new creation.

Even when checking with MOD/MCCC, the status is "Spouse: None."
The husband Sim also has "Spouse: None."

The Sim does not have any "divorced" emotions or behaviors.
There are no "Divorce," "Deletion," or "Error" notifications in the "Notifications" section in the upper right corner.
The "Similar Behavior" and "Recently Released" packs have been uninstalled and the issue has been confirmed.

"Neighborhood Stories" is enabled, and "Moving In" and "Moving Out" are turned off.
Programmatically,
this is the same as setting the "Place of Residence" value to "Do not overwrite by the system."
It will not change to "Homeless" or "Other Housing."
However,
the system's built-in forced event "contract termination" for the landlord causes the system to "overwrite" the "place of residence" value, turning it "homeless."

I have uninstalled the above two packs and checked them.
Even with updates to relationships such as "legal wife"/"legal wife" and "concubine"/"wife," it is still not possible to play the game properly.
This issue continues to occur, so the game remains unplayable. In the first place, just like the system itself, divorces and marriages occur in the background without you even realizing it, and the family you're playing falls apart without you even realizing it, so you can't play.
I have two sims who are engaged and have two kids already but after logging off and bacck on the next day they are suddenly considered siblings with an "unknown" common parent. I am playing with some mods but none that interfere with relationships and no cheats or MCCC can fix this issue. Unfortunately, I noticed this bug way too late and I'm unable to load an old enough save to continue playing with my current household with my sims remaining only as romantic partners and (quite honestly) a normal family.
Also the royal envoy won't stop comming to my household - I don't have the royalty dlc and not planning on buying it - it's getting pretty annoying as she just walks into my sims' house and keeps talking to them.
Hello! I have the new Royalty and Legacies pack and my sim married Cordelia Thebe V. The two had four children but suddenly on the family tree it no longer says they are married but half sisters. The romance option is still available when interacting but the only option is offer massage. So it currently looks like two sisters decided to have children together. I have tried cheating it, I have tried Mc command center and I have tried going back to previous saves but it always changed from spouses to half siblings and I am losing my mind.
Using MOD/MCCC, I set the "Relationship Deletion Prevention Flag" to prevent the "Spouse" relationship from being deleted during loading. If it still gets deleted, I set the "Single Flag."
The issue temporarily resolved, but MCCC reported the following error on "Reaper's Workplace." This error also occurred on maps other than "Reaper's Workplace."
I have a male Sim who is married to Romeo Monty. Prior to now, the two of them were living with my male Sim's twin sister and her husband, Virgilio Capp. After moving Romeo and his husband into their own place, they were suddenly assigned half-brothers. I tried a whole bunch of things to fix it (clearing the saves, verifying files, restoring old saves, deleting the thumb cache, removing and updating mods, etc) but nothing worked. Eventually, I had to use a mod to erase Romeo's family tree and manually re-establish his relationships with all of his family members. Later on in the same play session, Romeo and his husband were reassigned as half-brothers again; I had to use a mod to erase Romeo's family tree and reassign relationships once more. After closing out of the game and come back a few hours later, they're half-brothers again. This does not happen to my Sim's sister and Virgilio.
I was playing earlier, and the family tree also doesn't make sense.
(I used a mod to re-set a deleted "spouse" as "spouse.")
The twins live in one household.
Twins have one spouse.
Both twin sisters have children.
The spouse (one male) lives in a separate household.
The two twin sisters and their two children live in one household.
One of the children is listed as a "secret child."
I find this difficult to understand.
In normal person mode, there are no "legal wife" or "wife" listed in the relationships section of the Sim's profile.
I would understand if it were true that "legal wife" doesn't know about the child with "wife." However, the "wife" in the screenshot is the "legal wife" and "best friend." There's no way they wouldn't know. After all, the "husband" is just a "stud."
In dynasty mode, the "legal wife" doesn't know about it. "A child with a concubine, or a child with a nobleman, or a child with a commoner." Therefore, it can be understood to be a "secret child."
Other than that, if the conditions "the husband thinks the child is his" and "the wife knows the child is with another man" are all met, then it can be understood as a "secret child."
What is a "secret child" from the perspective of a father or mother? What does it mean? Perhaps it's a "bug."
Same issue for me on the PS5. Started when they updated the family tree. Doesn't matter if I delete the one sim and bring them back from my gallery, they turn back into siblings. Can't even change it with the cheat code.
