Hey same issue kinda is happening to me… I’m getting that error code 21 and I’ve checked the windows 10 defender thing and it’s not being blocked by it. My game works and it’s updated it’s just doesn’t save. Please help it’s been a week…
Is defender the only antivirus program you're using ? Is Error 21 the only symptom you're getting ?
I don’t think so I have CCleaner 7 (I don’t even know if that’s an antivirus program lol). It appeared on my desktop randomly and asked if it was okay to make changes. I haven’t used it at all though. I think I deleted it or tried to at least a while ago. Also no I also get a sims delivery error. it’s error code 00000008:00000000000000c8 but usually it doesn’t affect my gameplay.
CCleaner shouldn't be blocking stuff.
Did you add all the exe files ?
If you go to Controlled Folder Access --> Block History. Do you find any current blocks there ?
Check the dates and if there's any current ones, click on the entry, that should give you the exe that's blocked and you should be able to add it from there.
I think the problem fixed itself? With updates my game usually has some issues where it doesn’t work for a couple of days but I had never gotten this issue so I panicked. Also I checked either way just in case and yeah nothing there. My laptop is pretty old so I think that’s a contributing factor.
